1. Tell me about your business/brand and how long have you been pursuing it?

    I am a public relations professional with ten years in the industry who has worked with brands such as Nielsen, Ebony magazine, Aflac, Pringles, Nike, and Target to name a few.  I specialize in media relations, events, community engagement and content development for local and national brands.  I’ve been known to successfully secure positive media coverage for brands in national and local media outlets. Past media coverage includes placements in notable media outlets such as Good Morning America, Extra, The Insider, The Huffington Post, the Associated Press and ABC News to name a few.

    What current projects are you working on? What are you most proud of so far in your business/brand?

    The projects I work on are constantly evolving. Right now I have the pleasure of working with artists such as Isatta Sheriff, a UK emcee; the Indie Soul Journeys and an upcoming digital comic series. Most recently I worked on projects with the American Heart Association and Walgreens as well. The project I am most proud of is the “Say Yes” Party I did with Fashion Fair Cosmetics back in 2013.     What was your inspiration for launching it? 

    My last job was brutal on my overall mental, physical and emotional health. It was imperative that I removed myself from that situation. When I walked away, I was concerned with what I was going to do next. I spoke to God about it, and he told me that everything would be okay and he kept whispering that this was now my time to venture off to do my own thing. Since I was an adolescent, I always knew that I was to eventually become an entrepreneur. However, life happened, and I never felt comfortable venturing off on my on. Plus, the jobs I’ve had throughout my career were so demanding that it didn’t leave much wiggle room to build my enterprise due to time constraints. It feels good to finally have my chance. There are certainly ups and downs, but it is all worth it.

    Who is your target audience or clientele? What does your business/brand need?

    My target audience is any business/brand/person looking to strengthen their overall public visibility. However, I have a strong background in arts, sports, and entertainment, so I always enjoy when I have the opportunity to work with clients in that realm. So if you know of anyone who operates in this space who has a serious budget for PR, please send them my way.

    What need does your business/brand fulfill? What sets you apart from others?

     I help brands tell their story in a way that sets them apart from their competition. Being able to pull out this story and convey it in a compelling way is what allows me to be successful. I like to leave an impression or experience.  I also like to develop a relationship with my clients so that they feel like family.  That way they always know I have their best interest at heart.

    When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

    When I’m not working, I like to sleep. It sounds lazy, but I don’t get enough because I work so much. Therefore, when I do have the opportunity to sleep, I like to take full advantage of it. I also enjoy working out and spending time with friends and family just laughing and hanging out. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life at this stage.
